L.A. Times Article Looks At Bay's Trek Through Movie

A recent article from the L.A. Times takes a look at "Transformers" movie Director Michael Bay's trek from when the movie first had his name attached to it until the most recent days of post-production. The article talks about Mr. Bay's knowledge of the "Transformers" franchise. However, the finished product is exactly what he started out thinking: he "always envisioned 'Transformers' not as a toy movie but as a live-action spectacle loaded with visual effects."

The article goes on to describe the mood of the movie. While there will be of course huge action scenes, but as Producer Lorenzo DiBonaventura put it, "I think people will be surprised by the movie. There is a spectacular amount of heart and humor in it."

The article also contains some new production stills that have not been available - at least in production stills versions. The first is Ironhide launching missiles in the middle of the street at an unknown enemy, seen in action in the television spot "Hidden" and the second one that is brand new with Sam Witwicky (Shia Labeouf) holding the "Allspark" and Optimus Prime in the background without a face plate on.
