Update: It is also worthy to note that this information is back from early December of last year and that anything could have changed since IESB's rumor surfaced.
Frank Welker has claimed that he has not been does not know anything about the upcoming "Transformers" movie other than that Peter Cullen has been cast. In the Question and Answer section of his official website, Mr. Welker, when prompted about voicing Megatron in the movie replied, "[p]resently, I have not been offered any roles."

This partially contrasts to a rumor that IESB reported on earlier this month that Mr. Welker was "days away" from signing the contract that would cast him as the voice of Megatron. Could this bring light to the other rumor presented in the article? That Hugo Weaving is in the running? Only time will tell and we'll let you know when that time comes.
