New Revenge of the Fallen Movie Logo Revealed?

By Primus on Wednesday, November 12, 2008

During a presentation to securities analysts today, Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner showed a promo image including the feature films of "G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra" and "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen." The "Transformers" part of the image shows what may be the new logo for the "Transformers Revenge of the Fallen" film that will be out June 2009.

The new logo released by Hasbro shows a more traditional look that is similar in design of the Generation 1 logo, which was broken into 2 parts with the word "TRANS" stacked on top of "FORMERS." The Autobot symbol from the Generation 1 logo has been replaced by a large, metallic Decepticon logo with glowing red-eyes.

The images support some elements revealed for the sequel already. If the movie goes in the direction we're lead to believe, where the Decepticons return to Earth, then this image could be indicative of the mood of the 2nd installment.

As with most things, take this with a grain of salt. This could be something only Hasbro is using or just a preliminary design we may never see again. You may view the new logo below and judge for yourself.

Stay tuned to Tformers.com for more details as they are made available. Your best resource for all the Transformers news and community every day.

It doesn't look like it has Jazz in that line-up, which would make it seem as if it's the returning Autobots. I mean, I guess?

that picture with optimus and bumblebee is from the game, why would they use a picture from the TF game from 2007 to represent one of hasbro's feature films with g.i.joe for 2008?

Can we get a screen grab of that Autobot photo next to the Trans-Formers sign?

I thought it was "Rise of The Fallen" Don't realy follow the spoilers though so... Either way, that logo gives me hopes for a Decepticon heavy story which would suit me fine.

I think it's kinda sloppy looking, honestly. I'm surprised this came from a legitimate source. Time will tell though.

Cool, I digs it good! Is that official artwork for the movie beside it with the Autobot minus Jazz (cause he BE DEAD!)?

Unless Coaly is a Decepticon. Or the inspiration for the Decepticon movement, and the Con Symbol is based upon his face. *Throws fuel onto the fires of Fanboi angst*

I consider this a rather big nod to this being more about Decepticon revenge then some silly coal stove on roids aka the Fallen

Dude, you should totally change your screen name to "Commander Lewis Can't Lose." I'd watch that show.
