Mysterious Frenzy Rumble Action Figure Prototype Surfaces

By Primus on Wednesday, November 04, 2009

Thanks to tf-op for the heads on a prototype image that has surfaced on HK-TF for a new Transformers robot action figure that closely resembles the Soundwave cassettes character action figures Rumble and Frenzy. The head and torsos are dead ringers for the cassettes the way they looked in the G1 cartoons.

Chances are this is another fan made type project. Hasbro and Takara are much more careful about letting things leak out in this for. Moreover, the Generation 1 casettes are being reissued in the Encore series and it highly unlikely they would be competing with their own sales.

I allways hated the fact that you had to attach a power master to a TF to transform it. I hope that isn't the case this time if that's the direction they're going in. By all means make em combine, but without shitty powerlinx a la armada gimmicks

I'm still thinking the new "Power Core Combiners" thing is Hasbro bringing back a new version Powermasters and this Frenzy/Rumble figure is probably tied to this new line.

This sounds a bit contradicting what im gonna say, but imagine how COOL it would be to have G1 characters as an all new action master line!! And they looked as good as this Rumble/Frenzy? I like AM's, but yea, they would probably just inherrit the Revoltech gene

I don't think they will, either, because they're already sort of covering that with Revoltech and Robot Replicas. Well, Revoltech isn't here in the US, but I think if Hasbro wanted to try Actionmaster stuff they would first bring Revoltech here...

Hasbro doesnt learn from mistakes, they just make a greater hash the second time around... (Try collecting in the UK/EU..)
