New Listing @ Wal Mart - Mitsubishi Alternator?
BaCon - Saturday, August 21, 2004

Tformers Member guld_goa_bowman sends word of a possible new listing in the Wal Mart computer system ... a Mitsubishi. No character is mentioned, but it is grouped in with the previous Alts. Read on for guld_goa_bowman's original post, also found here. This has not been confirmed, and we are currently researching this possibility. I know this doesn't have much to do with Pretty Blue Tracks (Although that is music to me ears).

I phoned Wal-Mart yesterday trying desperately to trag down some Alternators.

The lady said that she could only list them by car model. She listed the following:

2 Vipers (Sideswipe and Dead End)
2 Subarus (Smokescreen and Streak)
2 Corvettes (Yellow and Blue Tracks?)
2 Jeeps (Hound and Swindle)
2 Mazda (Red and White Jazz?)
1 Ford Mustang (Grimlock)
1 Honda S2000 (After seeing the gun I'm gonna say Blitzwing)
and MOST IMPORTANTLY:

1 Mitsubishi

Does anybody have ANY info on a Mitsubishi Alternator?

TFsource have posted an on-going series of articles featuring the box art work on the Transformers Alternators line. G1 Transformers box art is now the source of great nostalgia for fans and collectors of this legendary toy line, and even though subsequent popular lines like Takara’s Masterpiece, Encore and Binaltech did not feature actual box art, Hasbro’s all-plastic Alternators had original box artwork in spades. TFsource are looking not only at the artwork used on a select group of toys from the Alternators line, but also at some of the original line-art and inks created by Hasbro’s talented pool of artists. Read the Alternators Artwork articles Part 1 and Part 2.
E-Hobby released Exclusive Alternity A-01U Nissan GT-R/Ultra Magnus toy in Japan earlier this week. Included in the release was an Exclusive comic written by Naoto Sakal and illustrated by Hidetsugu Yoshioka. The comic is ten pages. I had a chance to read it, seemed interesting. If you are interested in having a look, especially if you are interested in the toy release, check out the links as the pages are available online! AllSpark.com Gallery and the Comic Scans.
Looks like our friends on the other side of the Atlantic are finally getting their fix of Transformers Alternators Mirage. While the U.S. has enjoyed this figure for some time now, the U.K. guys are finally getting the Ford GT-based figure. The first evidence of the figure showing up there is an eBay.co.uk auction. Will the U.K. be seeing anymore long-U.S.-forgotten figures? Hopefully, but only time will tell. Thanks to "Captain Modesty" for the heads up.
Thanks to eBay seller Mugen Robo Sanctum we have some new images of the DCC Exclusive Alternators Rodimus action figure. Get a look at new views of the back and bottom of the package including a shot of the license plate that says "Too Hot" in the Alternators Database.
