Botcon 2005 officially got underway today with a great early morning meeting with the Dobson Brothers. Voice actors for such popular characters as Starscream from Armada, Energon, and Cybertron, Tankor and Red Alert from Beast Machines, and the voice of the Matrix from Reboot, Michael, Paul, and Brian entertained attendees by fielding questions about their work as voice actors as well as giving all the participants a good dose of the voices their characters play. The Brothers also revealed that they have just finished voice overs for the new "Chronicles of Narnia" Motion Picture.
During the forty five minute session Michael informed the attendees that he initially auditioned for the part of Cyclonus in Armada. Apparently the crew thought he'd be a much better Starscream and the rest is history. Paul fielded questions about his time with "Reboot" and whethere he thought there would be a continuation to the show. He mentioned that it had been brought up, but nothing concrete has ever been done.
The most interactive part of the session came when the Dobson Brothers actually asked the attendees a question. They wanted to know how the fandom felt about the new voice direction that Cybertron had taken.Bainreese
