SAY IT ISNT SO!!! Aint It Cool News has posted what they claim to be a picture of the Transformers Movie Optimus Prime vehicle. The image shows what appears to be just a regular long nosed black Peterbilt truck with nothing special about it at all. Is this for real? G2 is back? When is the response not intense in the TF community? You can change a particle on one of the TF and the "fans" are in an uproar. Least he's a truck and not a Tree.

Why would people be disappointed that he's a regular truck? Were we supposed to be expecting him to have giant guns on him like Cybertron? He's supposed to be an ordinary truck!

When is prime ever NOT an ordianary truck? Ok cybertron had him have huge legs, and a weird front window, but he's always an ordinary truck.

I don't buy it. I mean, the truck they had at the show last year was a brand new Freightliner Argosy COE. That is an older model Peterbuilt with a fugly flame job. Stop with the lifted pics and show something official for crap's sake!
However, a good point was made about Bay's secrecy. Why hold back info? Is this being co-produced by Area 51 or something? What's the big deal? Trying to hide a gem or a lemon here?

OMFG! Looks like they pulled off at a truck stop and said "Let's see which can we use? That one over there will do. Hey buddy. want your truck to be Optimus Prime in our movie?"
Yep, has always been just a truck, but let us have something a little more class. Least give us a flat front rig. That thing looks way too much like the G2 Laser Prime for my liking. Yeech!

Uh, this story first broke late last night on Seibertron.com and the image was removed WAY before this even made mention on this site (only a few hours after Ain't It Cool first put it up). So, why even post it as news or act like the image is still there when posting this on the main page?
Anyway, a truck is a truck and Prime is a truck! I'm happy!

I don't understand why some people are upset about the secret parts of this movie. When Lucas was hiding the contents of his Star Wars series, no one questioned it.
I am interested in seeing what Mr. Bay can do with this movie. If its not based on the original cartoon, so what. Its a retelling of the story just like Spider-man, X-men, or Batman. Give Mr. Bay a chance and watch the movie. Then tell us what you like or didn't like about it.

@PowerKille : err, in RiD, Prime was a Firetruck too, but he had that unlucky ladder, which looked somewhat weird to me.
In GalaxyForce(Cybertron), he was equipped with his GalaxyCannon, which btw. looks great, but I agree to the Legs-thing, but this wasn't that bad.
Actually, I hope this image will be the Truck, which will be scanned by OptimusPrime in his Proto-form, then he changes into it's shape with his all known color-scheme.

i saw this artical late last night before the took the picture down and the truck wasn't black it was blue with red flames painted on it i have it on my desktop. and i dont think it's prime i think it's just another truck for the movie or possibly a truck they were using to haul equipment or somthing but i could be wrong.

Hey... that's not bad at all!
I mean, sure... one of those flat trucks would have been classic. But this is a pretty cool looking truck. It's big. It's tough. It's got just enough bling to make it seem fancy. I'm good with it.
My only concern is that I'm just sick to death of those flame decos we get on every damn TF. It's really too much. Why flames??
But I digress. I hope the robot mode still shows a lot of RED and BLUE, but this does resemble the old Laser Optimus doesn't it? And Laser Op was one of the better oldschool Primes, so I can't complain too much. :)

Whoever posted that on the News section really needs to stop being opinionated. This isn't the first time I have seen this.
He's a truck. If he was a car, or a jet or a friggen boat there would be chaos. Thankfully he isn't a lamp-post or a toll-booth, unless the author of this news thread would prefer that.
