Jack - Thursday, January 30, 2003

Here it is folks! We have our first up-close look at the just announced Robots in Disguise DESTRUCTICON figures Scourge and Bludgeon. The figures are re-painted versions of G2 Hero Optimus Prime as Scouge and G2 Hero Megatron as Bludgeon. Check out the robot mode, vehicle mode and tech sheets for both figures below.

These toys have been announced for release iby Takara n Japan as part of the USA Edition series. While there has been no official release of these items for the USA it is very very likely that we will hear something from Hasbro about them soon.

On Youtube this weekend, Chefatron has posted a couple of videos for new Robots in Disguise toys that have started to hit in Asia. First up is a pair of videos for two new Legion figures reflecting some of the updated Decepticon cast in the new season of the show, Cyclonus and Heatseeker. The videos will show off the basics of the two figures, including transformation - and sometimes the best part of these tiny figures are the clever ways they have for getting from one form to another! Both videos can be found in the full post below.
We've got a first look in video form at the just-released Stormshot from the new assortment of Robots in Disguise Warrior Class figures, thanks to chuckdawg1999 from our forums! Leading off the Combiner Force sub-branding, Stormshot is an all new mold Autobot jet. While the video sadly fails to provide any information about the poseability of the robot mode, we get to see the transformation and a little detail on the accessories. The video is embedded below, so click through to take a look!
The official Transformers Facebook page has posted a new video featuring the latest Soundwave figure drew on 3 decades of history for inspiration. The video walks through the many incarnations, all of which are based on the original G1 Character. What IS somewhat interesting is we get the same Prime Soundwave in the cartoon, but a new RID looking figure as a toy. Watch the clip now for the at the Official Transformers page.
Thanks to the fine folks at ASM, we have a pair of quick videos demonstrating the newly revealed Combiner Force sets from Robots in Disguise. The two packs feature a pair of figures that combine top to bottom to make a larger robot, much like Transformers Energon, but now with fun automorph style features that engage when the toys are connected together. The first videos shows the combination, and the second shows an individual figure being posed. Both are embedded, so click through to take a look!
