BigBadToyStore has put up a pre-order for a brand-new Takara Soundwave action figure featuring an all-new mold as well as a fully-functional MP3 player. According to BBTS, the MP3 player is slated for a July 2007 release and will function in both the cassette and robot mode. A mini-SD card slot is revealed when the cassette door is opened. Battery size is not yet known, nor is the size but BBTS hints that it should be smaller than the Generation 1-sized Soundwave so it will easily fit in a pocket. The figure will come in two colors: Soundwave's original blue colors as well as the white color, which BBTS says is a tribute to the Apple iPod music player.
