Transformers Generations Siege Hound Possible Retool Discovered?

Observant Allspark poster Sabrblade noted an interesting discrepancy recently. As you may recall, Summer Wonderfest this past weekend gave us a first look at the Transformers Siege Deluxe packaging, showing the move to boxes for Deluxes with the first chapter of the War For Cybertron Trilogy. Hound's box particularly got some decent images captured, including one with the character art on the side. Except that the head on Hound's body was not Hound's at all...

This is none other than the face and distinctive helmet design of Cybertron Defense Hot Shot! It's not the first time package art for one toy was mistakenly based on a retool intended to come along later - just relatively recently this happened with Titans Return Chromedome showed Getaway's head on its character art. But even so this is no concrete guarantee that we'll see this particular retool used, much like the Demolishor-based headsculpt known to exist as part of Combiner Wars Onslaught's tooling has still never materialized on a retail product. But hopefully this is a good sign that as Siege moves forward, we will be seeing more of the full depth of Transformers drawn on in Generations.

I hope his body is retooled too later

Please. As much as I think we need some better representation of G1, I grew up on the Unicron Trilogy, so seeing any sign of generations actually celebrating more than just G1 (like it did before prime wars) is a good sign.
