For those that were interested in wanting to take the reins of Grimlock, you might be in luck. Kotaku reports that Grimlock and Jetfire, among other characters, will be available in the Autobot version of the Nintendo DS video game.

The video game website was provided a preview of the game, which encourages players to swap between the abilities of each character to complete missions.

Kotaku was also provided a preview of the XBox 360, Playstation 3 version of the video game, which showed off a certain board and revealed some new information about the video game.

Bumblebee's vehicle mode will be a hovercraft, allowing players to turn the vehicle on a dime

The video game's storyline will provide a nice dynamic between Jetfire and Starscream - they used to be friends. The game focuses on a time when neither of the two have joined the ranks of the Decepticon army yet. Some highlights from Kotaku's report:

Land-based vehicles are actually hovercrafts, allowing for them to turn, stop, and strafe with ease

While they tried to make it work, Optimus Prime does not have a trailer. Matt Tieger says it would have gotten in the way, Kotaku reports.

Soundwave is a truck and will not have any tapes.

While the game may look at feel like the Gears of War franchise (as stressed at Toy Fair), the game does not feature a cover-based system.
