Game description After 4 million years, a volcanic eruption awakens the Transformers. Now battle where it began in a war based on the classic conflicts from the first TV series. Based on the original story of Transformers, use the strengths of each Autobot to defeat the Decepticons in turn-based strategic battles. Capture sources of Energon power to reactivate, repair or upgrade your Transformers. Featuring up to 23 playable characters and a skirmish mode to play friends as Autobots or Deceptions, there is more to Transformers G1: Awakening than meets the eye!

Glu to Bring First Generation TRANSFORMERS to Mobile Phones with Autumn's Launch of TRANSFORMERS G1: AWAKENING

New Title Currently in Development Follows the Global Success of Glu's 2007 Game Based on TRANSFORMERS Film

San Mateo, Calif. – July 24, 2008 – Glu Mobile Inc. (Nasdaq: GLUU), a leading global publisher of mobile games, today announced that it is currently developing a new TRANSFORMERS mobile game, TRANSFORMERS G1: AWAKENING, scheduled to launch worldwide this Fall. TRANSFORMERS G1: AWAKENING will take players back to the TRANSFORMERS’ roots and include characters, storyline and classic visuals from the original GENERATION 1 series – the hugely popular original cartoon that spawned a pop culture phenomenon.

The upcoming game will be the second title from the licensing agreement between Glu and HPG, Hasbro’s (NYSE: HAS) licensing division, bringing the TRANSFORMERS brand and characters upon the fast-growing mobile gaming market.
