By bwbm on Wednesday, May 07, 2008

MTV has caught up with "Transformers 2" producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura to talk to him about some recent developments to the sequel of the wildly successful sequel.

While confirming that Jonah Hill (Superbad) will not be making an appearance in the sequel, Mr. di Bonaventura teases, "we’ll have a couple casting surprises for everybody soon."

He was also asked about the possibility of a "long-rumored" character Broadside showing up in "Transformers 2."

According to MTV, the alternate mode of this character was rumored to embody the alternate mode of an aircraft carrier.

However, Mr. di Bonaventura wholly denied the existence of this character, and the article cites that director Michael Bay has noted that the character would have cost too much to create.
