Transformers 2 To Film In Egypt

By bwbm on Thursday, September 04, 2008

"Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" will film in Egypt when the principal photography crew heads overseas after filming in Alamogordo, New Mexico.

In an interview with the "Preston and Steve" morning show on Philadelphia's 93.3 WMMR, Megan Fox's ex-fiancee Brian Austin Green says, "they're (the cast and crew) all over the place."

He adds that the principal photography will go over to Egypt soon.

Mr. Green was promoting the television show "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles," in which he plays Derek Reese.

Tyrese Gibson (Sergeant Epps) has also recently confirmed that the crew will go overseas to Jordan and, "a few other locations."

This overseas work may be pieced together with certain scenes that were filmed sometime in July in the Los Angeles, CA area. A casting call had popped up early July looking for background males to play "Egyptian/Jordanian soldiers."

"Nelson" has said previously said that Director Michael Bay was scouting Egypt as a possible location for the film.
