This year the TFCC Roundtable panel acted as more of a retrospective of the various things Fun Publications has produced during their run in organizing the convention and the fan club, with the majority of the panel time being taken showing off the figures. Finally getting to the upcoming items was subscription service 5, featuring Counterpunch, Fractyl & Scorponok, Toxitron, the previously seen Paradron Medic "Lifeline", Double Pretender Optimus, and the big reveal, Pretender Megatron using the Pretender shell tooling from Grand Maximus! Keep reading for info and over 200 pictures.
Counterpunch is from the Wheeljack Combiner Wars mold, Fractyl is a recolor of the attendee freebie Terrorsaur, and Scorponok is Metroplex's Scamper Legends figure. Toxitron is unsurprisingly to be a Voyager Combiner Wars Optimus recolor with a new head sculpt.
The big surprise was the use of the Grand Maximus Pretender shell for Pretender Megatron, intended to be the counter for the double Pretender Optimus, making that available officially to the US for the first time ever.
The last crossover set is a Generation 2 themed set featuring Ninja Force Scarlet, Cobra Commander, and Dr Biggles-Jones, for the first time as an official GI Joe figure. Joining them is 2013 Legends Megatron in G2 colors, and clear green plastic to represent a hologram of Megatron. The set is rounded out with a use of the Masterpiece Ratbat mold in Marvel comics colors, because Pete Sinclair was hoping for a way to get that mold to more interested fans.
